"ORPHANS" ENTERTAIN

Entertainments arranged by the "Wellington" Orphans' Club arc always particularly enjoyable, and the large number who assembled at the Masonic Hall on Saturday evening at the invitation of the Orphans, were provided with a. splendidly varied and artistic programme. For this very successful "Ladies' Night," the hall was effectively decorated with streamers and greenery, and the stage setting for the various sketches was delightful. President H. F. "Wood extended a cordial welcome to all visitors;, and following tho concert programme and supper,' dancing was continued till a late hour. Official. visitors included Mr. Isaac (president of the Savage Club) and I) Mrs. Isaac, Mr. liyon (Secretary of the % Savage Club) and Mrs. Lyon, Mr. % Byron Brown and Mr. E. Nolan (presiIdeut and socrotary of the Charley's Aunt Club), and Mrs. Nolan, Mr. J. W. Anderson (secretary of tlie Athenian Club) and Mrs. Anderson. Mr. Douglas Stark was secretary aud producer. A sketch, "Tho Reprieve," was played by Orphans T. Thomas and L. Kevcn; another sketch, "The. Result," by Orphans N. Aitkcu and E. North. "Three Impossible Happenings" (arranged by Orphan Norman Aitken) happened to Orphans N. Aitken, J. Oonnell, A. Stark, A. Barr, D. Stark, and W. Mason.
