SMITH FAMILY CONCERT.
The benefit concert to be given by Mr. Frank Neil's Super Eevu^ Company in the Grand Opera House tomorrow eveniug in aid of the funds of the Smith Family, promises excellent entertainment. The programme includes concerted items by the whole company, excerpts from Gilbert and Sullivan by Miss .Miriam Lester, a dramatic monologue by Miss Molloy, spirituals by the Big .Four, George Wallace in "Happenings in Everyday Life," Syd. Beck iv a topical recital, a monologue by Mr. Barling, and a solo by Mr. Moloney. The Five Cleveres will present an artistic sceua, "Classic Postures." There are no expenses in connection with this concert so that every penny contributed at the doors will be available for the immediate relief of necessitous cases iii and around Wellington. The ZA.mily is now providing over 1500 children with milk daily in the schools, is repairing over 300 pairs of relief workers' footwear weekly, is providing bedding and clothing for needy families, and has over 200 womenfolk knitting garments with wool supplied by the Family. With this extension of the Smith Family's activities this winter there is urgent need for additional fiinds, and it is confidently anticipated that tomorrow evening's concert in the Grand Opera House at 8,15 will result in a substantial addition to the Family's finances. The usual arrangements regarding admission will be made, but patrons to tho dress circle are requested to contribute not less than.ls Od. The concert will not be broadcast. * -
