ELVES OF THE RING:
| Very certain-sure ive are that Winter has come visiting. ■ J !■ Who else catches the baby mists in the mornings, and sends them * ! running over the sea's grey face? Who else flings down the cloud* •'*. J blankets, so that ships call ivarningly each to each, and all the I. | pixies of the Ring find mufflers and scarves, and warm, woolly a % | gloves? ... J { 0, Winter has merry games, and many, many playmates. .'{ + Our round-about hills are cuddled down close for warmth; but f' V let one lift an unwary head, and straight away Winter pops a * .{_ white cap upon him! And if the sea stirs ever so slightly ——,' I | "At you again!" shouts Winter, and flings waves upon rocks, 1 | and white foam over all. And although he may play roughly 1 V at times, he sends you home' toith tingly toes and a glowing face X | when you choose him for company. |, V So tonight we'll sit on ou^ miishrpom stools and call King I { Winter into our Ring.
