An engagement which interested Londoners recently was that of Sir Paul Latham, M.P., to Lady Patricia Moore, only daughter of the Earl* of Drogheda and Kathleen jCountcss of Drogheda.. , Lady Patricia Moore, who is 20, bas been called "the most out-of-the-ordin-ary girl in society." Dark, of an unusual typo of beauty,' with large, expressive eye's, she has pronounced aesthetic tastes. . She'l speaks several languages,' including French, -Spanish, German, Italian, and Russian, is a connoisseur of art, and has written poetry and a work on Mexico.' She has travelled extensively, and was noted f^r'her long pigtails, until 1929, when she sacrificed them in. favour of shprt hair. , Sir Paul, wjio is the second baronet, ■succeeding his father, Sir Thomas Paul Latham, in 1931, celebrated his twentyeighth birthday recently. Ho inherited a fortune and is v lavish entertainer. Last year he' bought Hurstmonccaux Castle, an historic scat in Sussex, which was the property of the late Colonel Claude Lowthcr. Since a by-election in 1931 T.ir Paul has sat for tho Scarborough and Whitby Division as a Conservative. * He", is also a member of the London County Council. *, '
