POLICE PATROL AND NATIVES
! SYDNEY, Juno 14. ! A message vfrom Bulolo states that Patrolman Mack and a party of New Guinea police who were pursuing escaped prisoners were attacked by other natives. Tho latter had already killed tho escapees, and thought the police were a punitive expedition to avenge this crime.
The natives were routed and given a sharp lesson, although during the scrimmage four arrows struck Patrolman Mack and a police boy was hit. Their wounds are not serious.
