PETONE TECHNICAL COLLEGE
The monthly meeting of tho Petone •Memorial Technical College Board was hold last evening. There were present Messrs. D. McKcnzio (chairman), P Warner, E. N. Campbell, E. Ncill, W. V Dyer,. A. Grierson, H. Morris, W. Parkinson, and W. B. Nicholson. Mr. Dyer congratulated -.the chairman on his recent'election as Mayor of Petone. and Messrs. ■ Campbell and- Griereon on being returned as councillors for Pctoucand Lower Hutt" respectively:". ' Donations were, received from and thanks expressed to the following firms:-— Gear Meat Co. .(£20); Wellington Woollen Co. (.C5), W. J). iinH H. O. Wills (£4 4s), and Lever Bros, N.Z. (£3 3e). The principal (Mr. A.' MeFadyen) reported on the iniccees of the shooting team,, which gained .sixth.'place in the New Zealaud.schools' competition £or the Imperial ..challenge trophy,'and one hundred and thirtieth place among the-whole of the Empire schools. , The.'chairmaa was thanked for the presentation to the school of ten Empire Marketing Bonn! postevs. ; It was decided to improve the heat« ing of tiyo of the classrooms by tlie'pro" vision, of a double chimney. ..' —
