SHEEP IN GOOD DEMAND
AVright, Stephenson, and Co., Ltd., and Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on Johnsonville sale held yesterday as follows: —There was a large attendance of buyers. Competition for prime bullocks was good at last week's rates, plain and inferior sorts were hard to quit, even at reduced limits. Prime cows and heifers showed a decline on last week's rates of up to 7s 6d per head. Vealers met with a fair demand at late rates. The sheep yarding comprised of good quality wethers and ewes, for which there was a good demand at last week's prices. Lambs were in very short supply and a keen sale resnUed.
