The "Mining World" refers to the re : port issued h.y the directors of the Waihi I Gold Mining''Company for .the year ended December 3?£last, as an excellent one. The concluding /comment reads: "Waihi Gold has a splenflid record and has yielded gold to the valwe of £17,627,140, paid dividends to the amount of £6.040,645, and taxes to the extent of £1,0451636, or a total distribution jot £7,086,252. Furthermore, there j have bee a returns of capital in 1921 of 10s per shaije, in 1926 5s per share, and in 1927 tlua-e was .given a bonus of 5s per fully pe&.l ishare held. With such a record niiy cr/p.ipany might well be proud. Throughout the entire history of this suc'■cessfui enterprise, the shareholders have iilwnjfs been treated with the utmost candour,/ no matter whether the news has been good or bad. This high standard is lining well maintained; in fact, the W?.Uii Company has a name which might well} be envied by any commercial or other un.dtertaking in the City of London."
