MAY CRUSHING RETURNS

' The following information, .lias been cabled to the London office of/the Wnihi goldmining Company, Limited:—For the period ended May 13, comprising 20 crushing days," 16,670 tons of ore were crushed for a result of 4682 fine ounces of gold and '40,146 fine ounces of sil.ver. This includes 1889 tons mined fn »m the Grand Junction area, which yielded 623 fine ounces of gold and 5449 fine; ounces of silver. No. 3 level: Norths branch of the Martha lode—Wallace ris e, from 201't to 37ft up, the reef has pinched and is of little or no value. Crossi jutting has been commenced 31ft up. No., 4 level: Gordon north crosscut —Prospecting for the north branch of the Martha lode, the following veins have been intersected: At 207 ft, lft wide, course'B6 degrees; at 214 ft, l%ft wide, course i$ degrf.-esi; at 222 ft, • %ft wide, course 60 degrees. .These veins have a dip of practically 1 in 4 north, and are all of good grade. T3ie crosscut is now 243 ft. No. 5 level: T)>s north crosscut has been stopped at. 177)*, and we are now commencing tq drive, on a vein at 103 ft.
