ASSOCIATION RESULTS
; Advices from England show that the first division Association football championship was won by Arsenal by four points from Aston Villa, with Sheffield Wednesday in third place. This is the second occasion in the history of the ■championship on which Arsenal has finished at the top, though, both Arsenal and the Villa have been amongst the more prominent contenders during the past six years. Bolton Wanderers and Blackpool were on equal terms q.t the bottom of the list, and they go down to the second division. ' Stoke City, with 56 points, won the second division championship by a point from Tottenham Hotspur, and these two. teams will be promoted to the. first division.
