COMPETITIONS FESTIVAL
The judge of the vocal section of the Wellington Competitions Society's festival will be Dr. Cyril Jenkins, of Sydney, a very distinguished composer, musician, and judge ot music. He. was adjudicator of the band contest at Sydney last January, and also acted as judge o£ the vocal and instrumental sections at the Ballarat Eisteddfod two years ago. He was born at Swansea, Wales, in 1895, and has numerous well-khowa compositions to his credit. • ■■ " The other judges will be as follows:-— Mt J. William Bailey, Auckland (elocution); Mr. T. Vernon Griffiths, Dunedin (violin and piano); Miss Constance MacDonald, Napier (dancing); . Mrs. Braid, Hawcra (national "dancing).
