BUTTER MARKET QUIET
THE CHEESE POSITION
(Received May 2a, 12.5 p.m.) LONDON, May 25. The butter market is quiet. Danish, 86s to 88s per cwt; choicest salted New Zealand, 79s to 80s; Australian, 77s to 78s. Unsalted is about Is per cwt premium. The cheese market ia steady. New Zealand white 48s per cwt, coloured 545; Australian, 46s to 51s. ■ A. S.-Peterson and Co., Ltd., advise having received today cable advice trom ,T and J. Lonsdale and Co. (London), Ltd., as follows:—"Butter market is steady; New Zealand, 78s to 78s 6d per cwt; Australian, 77s to 77s Od. Cheese has more inquiry; white, 47s to 47s Gd per cwt; coloured, 53s to 53s 6d.' A. J. Mills and Co., London, May 2a, cable:—"Butter market is quiet; New Zealand, finest 78s to 79s per cwt, firsts 76s to 775, unsalted 82s to 84s; Danish, 88s to 90s; Australian, 76s to 78s; Argentine, 72s to 765. The cheese market is quiet; New Zealand, white 47s per cwt, coloured 545; Canadian, white 645, coloured 64s to 665." ■
