OBITUARY

ADMIRAL SIR E. KIDDLE

(Eeceived May 3, 2 p.m.) LONDON, May 2. The death is announced of AdmiraJ Sir Edward Burton Kiddle, at the age of 67. He was in command of H.M.S. Minotaur, which escorted the transports carrying' the Mtfin Body "of the New Zealand ' Expeditionary. Force out of Wellington Harbour in' 1914. He was captain of H.M.S. Revenge in s the Grand Fleet, and was present a(J\ the Battle of Jutland. He afterwards \ commanded H.M.S. Marlborough, 1917----18. He was Admiral Superintendent at Chatham Dockyard, 1021-23, and retired from the Navy in 1924.
