WELLINGTON SAVAGE CLUB

The annual meeting of the Wellington Savage Club was held last evening. The meeting resolved to request his Excellency the Governor-General Lord Bledisloe to take the office of Ariki Nui again. The following officers were elected: — Chief Savage, Dr. D. N. Isaacs; (Immediate Past Chief Savage, Mr. J. J. McGrath); deputy chief savages, Messrs. 0. N. Gillespie; E. J. Pearce.'J. R. Sutclift'e, and W. S. Wauchop; council, Messrs. Fred. G. B. Gill, Barton Ginger, Nelson Isaac, Eric Johnston, Leo Logan, W. J. McKeou, and A. S. Paterson, and LieutenantColonel R. L. ,Evatt; secretary, Mr. R. K. Lyon; auditor, Mr. C. M. Bowden: treasurer, Captain V. G. Jervis; musical director, Mr. Frank Thomas; dramatic director, Mr. Hanson Cook.
