FERRY SERVICE
MAORI TO RESUME
The CLyttelton. Ferry steamer Maori, which, has been laid up at the Patent Slip wharf during tho summer, went on to the floating dock this morning for overhaul, and survey .preparatory to resuming her, running in the. ferry service for the : winter months. She will be ia the dock for several days.: ■ She will commence her winter sailing- on Tuesday, April 18, in placo of the Wahine, which will arrive here on that morning. The Wahino will sail tho following night for Lyttelton in place of the Eangatira. The Bangatira will sail from Lyttelton.on Tuesday night, and when sho arrives here On Wednesday morning will dock for cleaning and painting. Tho Eangatira will resume again on Friday, April 21, and on arriving here that day the, Wahine will bo withdrawn from the service to lay up. Tho Eangatira .and the Maori will then carry on the Wellingtou-Lyttelton run •as usual. The .Wahine will probably come into commission again about next October, and in the meantime it is expected that she will bcrtli at the Patent Slip wharf, where the Maori has. been until loduy_. _ • j
