LADIES' ASSOCIATION
ANNUAL MEETING
The annual meeting of the Wellington Ladies' Hockey Association was! held last evening. Mr. ■J. C. Cusack presided. It was resolved that rule 33 iv the association's constitution should be replaced with the following rule: —"A selector or selectors shall be appointed each year by the management committee to select representative teams, and the selectors 6hall have the right to uominats captains and vice-captains for such teams.' It was also resolved that no person holding an official position in any club shall be eligible for the position of selector. A new tournament rule, stating that the tournament teams shall be chosen at the tournament by three persons, namely, manageress, selector, captain, or vice-cap-tain, was adopted. In the forthcoming season, the junior h grade, is to be called the third grade, and the sections for the draw will be senior A, senior B, junior, and third grade. The ladies' hockey season is to commence on April 29. The closing date for entries is April 21. Miss L. Dick, who has been connected with the sport for over 21 years, was elected a life member. The Johnsonville and Poneke hockey teams were elected to membership of the association. A vote of thanks, was passed to the officers for the past year. Miss S. Swinburne, who was treasurer last season and who is to be married shortly, is to be presented with a memento of her association with the sport. The election of officers resulted as follows:—President, Mr. J. C. Cusack; vicepresidents, Mesdamcs Poultcr. Lark, Mesrssrs. Burns, Scott, Smith, Wagliorn, and Kirk, and Dr. Hickey; secretary. Miss J. McClelland; assistant secretary, Miss N. Williams; treasurer, Miss W. McTigue; j management committee, Mrs. Montgomery, Misses Fitt, Slater, Charles, and Simpson; vice-president to New Zealand Association, Mr J C. Cusack; delegate to New Zealand Asosciation, Miss M. Wilkins; lifemembers. Misses M. Wilkins and L. Dick, and/Mr. W. A. Scott. ■
