WEDDING

' MACAULEY—SHEAREB,

The marriage took place recently at St Columba's Church, Johnsonville, of Bobina Pairlie, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Adam Shearer, Johnsonvffle,skt ttjss,, %«£. The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a graceful frock of ivory georgette and lace. Her veil of lace and tulle ■ was arranged beneath a ju let cap of pearls, and caught at each side with small clusters of orange blossom. Sho carried a bouquet of cream roses and begonias. The- brido was attended by her sisters, Misses Lily and Willa Shearer, who wore dainty puff-sleeved frocks of green and lemon organdie respectively, the skirls being f u i lv flared aml finis . he(l at the waisthno with a doublo flared tnll and narrow sashes of satin rilv bon Charming hats of ruched organdio and satin were worn to match," and shower bouquets of pastel tints were carried. flower girl, and wore an ankle-length frock of maize-coloured frilled net over satin, with sash and dainty bandeau to tone, and carried a Victorian posy of gold tinted flowers. The bridegroom was attended by Mr. Douglas Hare (Lower Hutt) as best man and Mr. .Rex Rix (Wellington) as groomsman. After the ceremony Piper McMillan piped tho bride and groom to the wedding car.

A reception was held at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Shearer, the bride's mother wearing.a frock of black lace and georgette, and small black hat. She carried a posy of pink begonias. The bridegroom's mother wore a frock of lido blue arid champagne celanese, and small blue felt hat. She carried a posy of autumn tinted flowers.

Later Mr. and Mrs. T. H. Maeauley loft by car for a tour of the North Island, the bride travelling in a red flecked costume with small hat to match.
