New Zealand bookings by the .(Drama, leaving London on February IS, include Mr. and Mrs. P. E., Tear, Captain M. Gr. Field, and- Miss F. Couston. Passengers who havo booked to New Zealand by the Largs Bay, which sailed on February 15, include Miss M. M. McCarthy (Oamaru), Miss E. M. Cotter ' (Napier), Miss E. Clark • (Lyttolton), Mr. J. McFarlane (Auckland), Mr. and Mrs. Freemantie and -infant (Wellington). ' It 'was announced yesterday that a .marriage has been arranged "and will take place shortly between Captain H. J.l\ Mills, only son of Sir James Mills, K.C.M.G., and Hazel, younger daughter of the late William Pallett Cox and of Mrs. Cox, 23 Clieyne Walk, Chelsea.
. Mrs.. A. Gilmour and Miss Celia Gilmour (Otano, Hawkes Bay), who are now living in London, have spent some very interesting years travelling on tho Continent. They have stayed in tho South of Franco during the winter, and havo' spent many months in. Florence, Geneva, Brussels, and Paris. They havo visited Heidelberg, Cologne, and Many other' centres of interest. While in Paris, Miss Gilmour took a course in French at the' Alliance Francaise. Commander H. L. Morgan, 0.M.G., D.5.0., has been appointed to Pembroke, as Assistant to Captain o.f the Dockyard -(March 1). •
At Seaford, on February 11, tho death occurred of Mary, widow of tho Rev. William Tebbs, of, Caterham, Surrey, and of Auckland. Tho late Mrs. Tcbbs was So years of age. The Misses Joan and Botty Raynor, who are known professionally us the ssow Zealand Troubadours, are quite well pleased with their stay in London. They have given a number of performances in public of the very high-class programmes which they compile, and they havo been busy with engagements ol a private nature as well. Sinco Christmas time they have had twenty ot the latter, and they are adding ex-1 tensively to their list of friends and admirers. On Monday morning they set forth to tour in England and Scot-! lanci, and they will probably bo away tor months They havo good advance bookings which include performances m schools. They huvo starts off with a brand new caravan which is equipped with every known gadget to lighten work, and with everything that is latest to make for comfort. Tho caravan travels, behind a fine touring motor-car, which belongs to a friend who is driving j t . The season • is early tor caravaning, but the travellers arc well equipped with aeeossorics to provide warmth. Prior to departure, tho charming sisters entertamed their friends to tea on two afternoons at tho residence of Miss Ben-' ■susiin. (Australia), who is well-known in theatrical circles.
