MERCANTILE FINANCE.
A proposal is to be submitted to shareholders of the Mercantile Finance Corporation, Ltd., Christchureh, on March 30 that the company should bo wound up voluntarily and that a liquidator should be appointed for the purpose. The company was formed in 1925.' For the year en Jed June 30, 1932, a profit of '£263 was earned-. This was absorbed on preference dividends, leaving only £25 to be carried forward. . Paid capital is £49.733. including 3925 £1 cumulative preference shares". Ordinary shares have not received any dividend since 1927, when 7 per cent, was distributed.
