NURSING GUILD
WORK AMONG THE SICK
Many letters, of appreciation from patients for good things received were read at the recent meeting of the St. John Nursing Guild, whose work among tho sick and needy is much appreciated. ■ ■
The nurses' report showed that 32 had been admitted during February, 13 discharged, 2 sgnt to hospital, 2S remained on. register, 164 sisters' visits had been paid to homes,. 233 patients' visits to surgery, and : 6661 tho number on the register.
Tho following amounts have been received:—Contents of contribution box, 9s 6d; Mr. AV. B.- Fisher (annual subscription), £1 Is; Mr.-1., 4s; ' Miss Rumble, ss; Miss E. Young (annual subscription), £2 2s. ' Fon relief of distress, Mrs. Christie (Levin), £.2 and Mrs. Inglis, S.s. Donations of clothing, old linen, food, and books have also to be acknowledged from Mesdames Stace, Helyer, Alcorn, J. C. Morrison, McKec, EobinsoJi, Barltrop, and Daniel, Anon (4), Dr. Chapman, Blue Bird Confectionery, Eegal Caterers (several times weekly), and Rowland Cake Kitchen (weekly).
