RETURNED SOLDIERS STREET DAY
(To the Editor.) Sir,—lt was with deep regret that the returned soldiers o f *& city read the decision of the City Council not to allow the association- to hold a -street day on the Friday beiore An^ac Day. This street day provides the association with a large portion of its income; which is devoted entirely to the relief -io£ distress and the provision of employment for ex-soldiers in want. The eoonciiaors doubtless wish to torget the war and all the misery it entailed. Such foreetfulness will not remove trie pathetic results of' war.—l am, etc b!
