AEROPLANE ACQUIRED

An addition to Wellington's air fleet arrived here on Friday afternoon from Auckland and was used at the display on Saturday afternoon. The aeroplane is a Moth, registered as ZK-AAV and it is painted in a red and cream colour scheme, the top of the fuselage and the tail unit being checkered. The Wellington Aero Club bought' the machine from an Auckland private owner, Mr. B. G". Tappenden. A new engine was recently installed, and the machine has been thoroughly overhauled. It is fitted with shoulder straps for aerobatics, and a compass, as well as all the standard fittings.
