In the Criminal Court, Eric Craig, 2S, a salesman, was convicted of the manslaughter of Iris Marriott, otherwise May Miller, whose bod}- was found in Queen's Park, AYaverley, on December 10. Craig, whose defence was that the woman attacked him and that he retaliated, was sentenced to twenty years' imprisonment.
