COLONEL OF HORSE GUARDS
I (Times Cable.) LONDON, March 14. Field-Marshal Sir William Birdwood has been appointed Colonel of the Horso Guards in succession tc FieldMarshal Sir William Robertson. He is tho first Indian Army officer to hold this rank in. the Household cavalry.
