Paces for all classes were held at Paremata last weekend, a light but steady south-west breeze prevailing. Bright sunshine made conditions perfect. Also started: Putorino (2%min) Pezey (scr). The Indolence (lOmin) actually finished second, but was disqualified for fouling a mark-buoy. Takapuna Class Handicap.—Xusta (s%min), lh 10m 9s, 1; Windsong (14min), lh ISm 2s, 2; Silver Dawn (llmin), lh 18m 455, 3. Also started: Wairoa (3min) and Noleen (scr).
