Paces for all classes were held at Paremata last weekend, a light but steady south-west breeze prevailing. Bright sunshine made conditions perfect. Results, with handicaps and actual sailing times, areas follows:— First Class Centreboard Handicap.— Kotuku II (3% mm), lh 21m 295, 1; Mi=g Josephine (3min), lh 21m 40s,- 2; Kewpia (6min), lh 25m 51s, and Lois (l%min), lh 21m 21s. dead-heated for third place. Also started: Putorino (2%min) Pezey (scr). The Indolence (lOmin) actually finished second, but was disqualified for fouling a mark-buoy. Second Class Handicap.—Oreroa (3min), lh 5m 595, 1; lanthe (scr), lh 7m 6s, 2: Tui (scr), lh 7m 14s, 3. Takapuna Class Handicap.—Xusta (s%min), lh 10m 9s, 1; Windsong (14min), lh ISm 2s, 2; Silver Dawn (llmin), lh 18m 455, 3. Also started: Wairoa (3min) and Noleen (scr).
