GROSE DISQUALIFIED
(By Telegraph.— Press Association.) CHEISTCHURCH, February 26. The Canterbury amateur cycling championships were decided here on Saturday on a banked track. F. J. Grose, the JN Tew Zealand champion, was disqualified after the first race for striking the president of the centre. Spectators jeered and booed several times during the remainder ot" the evening. ' Eesults are as follows:— Half-mile Championship—G. R. Giles 1, S. A. Campbell 2, F. J. Grose 3. Time, 68 2-ssec. One Mile Championship.—T. A. Grose 1, E. W. Stevens 2, H. E. Young 3.
