A 20 per cent, cut in wages t« become effective on March 1 has been rejected by a referendum of 30,00f» trades union workers on both railway^ according to an announcement by union officials. Overtures have so far failed to secure further negotiations, and a railways strike is to be decided by ba* lot. .
