THE HIKURANGI TRAGEDY
VERDICT AT INQUEST
■ (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WHANGAREI, This Day. ;An inquest was held at Hikurangi today concerning the triple tragedy at the Ackers coal mine. • A verdict was returned that Albert Ackers met his death through unwittingly encountering black damp; that James Ackers died similarly when attempting to rescue Albert; and that Jack Ackers died in the same way when trying to save tho others.
