GREYHOUND RACING
TOTALISATOR TROUBLE
COMMONS ATTITUDE
(Received February 17, at 2 p.m.) LONDON, February 16. In the House of Commons, Mr. North moved in favour of bringing,all greyhound tracks under the control of the Betting Control Board, legalising totalisators, and' limiting the number, of race meetings. ■ The Hon. Oliver Stanley, on behalf of the Government, admitted that there was considerable anxiety in regard to the growth-of tote clubs. The Royal Commission had been1 asked to present.an interim report on the question of totalisators.
The motion was carried.
