AN OCEAN VOYAGE
ZANE GREY'S MOTOR-BOAT
(By Telegraph.) (Special.to "The Evening Post") • AUCKLAND, February 15. -' Mr. Zane IGrey's motor-boat Frangipani has arrived ■from Mercury 'Bay. It was intended that she'should be shipped to Tahiti,1, but Mr. Zane Grey has decided to send ;her to Tahiti under her own power. -■.' ;P-\ c /The Frangipani will carry a crew of five and will be in charge of Captain. Pyper, late of the Union Company. A mizzen-mast will be fitted and larger sails added, and;.she" will.be equipped for her voyage -in other .ways. The capacity of her fuel /tanks 'is.; 700 gallons, and this swill.be supplemented for the voyage. ■.••" '..,•.. Her first port will be Rarotonga, a distance of 1900 miles. The second leg of her course' will/be-to> Tahiti, another 850-miles. This journey of 2750 miles is the longest yet attempted by a motor-boat hot specially:built for deep-sea' work.
