[(From Our Own Co.respondent.y . ..'... NELSON- February 14. 'After long association -with Nelson College as pupil, assistant'master, and headmaster,, Mr. C. H. Broad, 8.A., has decided to relinquish: bis-position, and last evening" the" College Council of Governors accepted the. headmaster's resignation with great regret. After the chairman, Mr. C. R. Fell, had paid a tribute to Mr. Broad's work during his-lOngj-term at the college tho council placed" on record its appreciation. The resignation will, operate tho end of .the ■second term, August 31. "Mr. Broad has been an able headmaster,"';', said Mr. Fell. ' "He- came to us. in 1893 as assistant master, and remained here until 1897j when he went on to the Otago High School, but he returned to Nelson College-&_' assistant master in 1902. Hamilton and carried unanimously after several other members had paid tributes to tho work of Mr. Broad.
