BAND CONTEST
DEPARTURES FOR SOUTH
Mr. Frank Wright, who is to act as chief musical adjudicator at the Dominion band contest, will leave for the south at' S ?7 e5jn2- ■ He will be accompanied by i 5* Patcnett, an executive member of the New Zealand Brass Bands' Association,, and Mr. John G. Osborne, secretary ot the association. Those travelling to the contest tomorrow evening will include Mr. F. W. McLeod, assistant solo adjudicator, Messrs. K. J. Young and H. J. Hall, executive members of the N.Z.8.8.A., and probably the Napier Citizens' Band and the Hastings Town Baud. On Friday evening the Port Nicholson bilvcr Band will leave to defend the championship. The Wellington Municipal Tramways Band will assemble in the city iit a point to be agreed upon, and will play the champion band to the Lyttelton Ferry Wharf,
