BRITISH AMERICAN TOBACCO,
The British American Tobacco Company held its annual meeting in London on January 9. It was decided to pay a final ordinary dividend of 8d per share, making 20 per cent, for the year ended September 30; 1932; free of United Kingdom income tax, the same as. for the preceding year. Net profits are higher at £5,438,252, against £5,334,4.8. The directors also decided to pay in January an interim dividend on account of the current year (1932-33) of lOd per share, tax free, the same as a.year ago. ..--..: ■-;.._.
