WAR DEBT QUESTION

BRITISH CABINET MEETS

FORMULATING POLICY,

(British Official Wireless.) (Received Ist February, 1 p.m.) BITGBT, 31st January. The question of war debts absorbed the attention of Cabinet at its meeting yesterday, and "The Times" said: "It is understood that Ministers were unanimous in their agreement with the general line of policy put before them by the Prime Minister. A further meeting of Cabinet will be held to-morrow. The Prime Minister has been working throughout in closest touch with the Chancellor of the Exchequer -on this subject." "The Times" adds that the other Ministers chiefly concerned, notably Mr. Stanley Baldwin, Sir John Simon, vand Mr. Walter Kuneiman, have also contributed in formulating a policy which, subject to any modification that may be suggested on the arrival in England of the British Ambassador at Washington, is now that of Cabinet as a whole.
