FIGURES FOR: JANUARY
The "Wellington district vital statistics for January, compared with the corresponding month last year, show a decrease in births and marriages, and an increase in deaths. The following are the figures for January, 1933, those for January last year being given in parentheses:—Births, 188 (201); deaths, 101 (91); marriage- notices, 86 (92); marriages by registrar, S2 (27).
There was only one bankruptcy in Wellington, city in. January this year,, as against three in January, 1932*
