INSPECTION OF ENTRANTS

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHEISTCHUECH, 31st January. The measurement'of boats was discussed for two hours to-day by delegates to the Sanders Cup Conference. It was decided to uso the steel moulds for-measuring the boats entered, but, the measurers were instructed to inspect the boats and moulds, and report to a specia.l meeting of the conference before the .first race to-morrow. The Otago delegation recorded a protest against the decision on the ground that the moulds had not been procured, immediately after the last conference, as directed, and that Otago had never been able to obtain them. ' ' * When challenges from Auckland; Wellington, and Otago were discussed the conditions attached to ■ Wellington's challenge were questioned, .the objection being raised by an Auckland delegate-that-the-conditions put the challenge out of order* However, it was ' decided to accept. tho Wellington challenge. • ■ -■',■■■ The: first race will start to-morrow at 3 o'clock over a triangular course of nine miles.
