TO-DAY'S RESULTS
DOUBLES EVENT FINAL
The final of the handicap doubles event was played this morning, when the Wellington croquet championship tournament- was continued between showers. At an early stage of the match Mrs. Boss and Miss Gardner obtained a substantial lead over their opponents, Mesdames Pawson and Wilson, who were defeated, 26-8. An exciting semi-final game was also played in the championship doubles when Captain and Mrs. Hartnell (New Plymouth) beat Mesdames Galdow and Henderson, 26-23. Entries are now being taken for the handicap doubles post entry event, an "A" and a "B" player being drawn as partners. / Results are as follows:— HANDICAP DOUBLES. Tinal.—Mrs. Ross and Miss Gardner beat Mesdames Pawson and Wilson, 26-8. ' . HANDICAP SINGLES. Mrs. Bush (4) beat Mrs. Sargisson (4), 26-10. ' LEVEL SINGLES.
