HEAVY FINES . FOR GAMING

AUCKLAND, This Day. As a sequel to a gaming-house raid on Saturday at a building in Customs street, Douglas Hipkins, a tobacconist, was fined to-day £100 for using the premises for gaming purposes; and John Henry Weaver, an agent, £60, and Zoe Purdy, a clerk, £50, for assisting. Four men who were found on the premises were each fined £1.
