A.M.P. INTEREST.
Reference was made in this column yesterday to some remarks by Sir Saniuel Hordern, chairman of the principal board of directors of the A.M.P. Society in Sydney hi regard,to interest rates. "The reference was inadvertently made to apply to the society s rate of interest, whereas in tact the reduction in the rate of interest is that proposed to be made by the State Government of New South Wales in respect of advances made by the Government. There is no intention whatever to \nt^ri? re ""'ith the rate char Sed by the A.M.P. Society, which has already made voluntary reductions to meet present-day conditions.
