WELLINGTON CITY OBSERVATORY.

* The season for public nights at the Wellington City Observatory will finish to-morrow night. The telescope will be ■used for the examination of various celestial bodies, and a short lecture on "Types of Celestial Objects" will be given, illustrated by lantern slides. The Observatory is situated in the Botanical Gardens, Kelburn, and will be open from 7.30 to 9.30 p.m. Upon the closing of the Observatory to the public, the telescope will be used for special research work in astronomy during the summer season.
