NEGOTIATIONS ENDED

BUT UNIONS TO APPROVE

For some days a private Dominion conference has been proceeding in Wellington in the watersiders' dispute.

To-day the secretary of the New Zealand Employers' Federation (Mr. T. O. Bishop) made the following statement when the conference had risen at noon: -^"We discussed the question of making a Press statement at the end of our negotiations to-day, and I was instructed to say that the negotiations have been finalised and the proposals are now being printed for submission to the unions, and the unions' reply is to be given at the earliest possible date."
