CAUGHT RED-HANDED

When patrolling Ghuznee street just before 11 o'clock last night Constable Gettins had his curiosity aroused by seeing a small piece of paper stuck under the door of the warehouse of N. W. S,tevens, Ltd. He investigated further and found the door open, and heard a noise inside. Constable Gettins ontered the warehouse and found a young man, Leslie Joseph Murphy, aged 24, hiding behind a case.

Murphy was arrested, and to-day when he appeared before Mr. E. Page, S.M., he was remanded, on the application of Senior-Sergeant Scott, until 10th August on.a charge of breaking and entering the warehouse and stealing a quantity of goods.

The accused was further charged ■with failing to comply with the terms of his release on probationary licence, but permission was granted to withdraw this charge
