Strong objection was raised '"by members of the Civic League at their last monthly meeting to the suggested showing of pictures on Sundays, and the following resolution was unanimously passed: "The Civic League does not approve of moving pictures being shown on Sunday nights, notwithstanding the stipulation made by the Mayor that they will be selected pictures." /
