PROTEST AGAINST SENTENCES
At a recent meeting of the Wellington Labour Representation Committee the following resolutions were carried: —"(1) That the L.R.C. protest against the excessive sentences passed recently in connection with the unemployment trouble throughout the Dominion, and also those imposed under the War Regulations." (2) "That this L.R.C. decide to co-operate with the National Executive of the Labour Party in an effort to get all sentences imposed in connection with the recent unemployment trouble reduced or cancelled, aud the L.R.C. reaffirm the attitude of the Labour Party in demanding the repeal of the War Regulations."
