Clopton and Jack Plane set out to do a mile and a half over the hurdles, but after going three furlongs Clopton's rider, lost an iron, and Jack Plane went. on alone. He out jumped Clop^ ton. The latter subsequently put in, a round on the fiat at half-pace./
