EXCHANGE OF MESSAGES
The following messages have been sent by Major-General W. L. H. Sin-clair-Burgess:— To Field-Marshal Sir William Birdwood, London: "Kindest greetings and good wishes from New Zealand. Forces on anniversary Anzac." To General Sir Alexander Godley, Gibraltar: "New Zealand Forces send kindly greetings in remembrance Anzac.'' The Defence Headquarters, New Zealand, sent the following message to the headquarters Australian Military Forces, Melbourne: "Kindest greetings and remembrances of Anzac from New Zealand Forces." ; The following message was received from Field-Marshal Sir William Birdwood: "Please convey my most hearty and sincere remembrances and greetings to all old comrades N.Z.E.F. None of us can ever forget Anzac Day, and I sincerely hope for prosperity to old commrades and to New Zealand.'^. The following message was received by the Wellington Returned Soldiers' Association: "Remembrance from Anzac Society1, Shanghai." The. following reply was sent: "Colonel Thorns, Shanghai. Heartily reciprocate Anzae greetings; best' of luck. (Signed) Avery, president Wellington Beturued Soldiers' Associa- . tion." /
