WEDDING
The. wedding was celebrated recently •at Holy Trinity Church, Gisborne, of Tui Eeremoana, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. Swinnerton, Whataupoko, Gisborne, and William. Clarkson Scott (of the National Bank, "Gisborne), second son of Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Scott, Newtown, The Eev, ..Canon A. F. Hall omciated, and Mr. Wilfred Kohn was at the organ. The bride, who Tvas escorted by her father, wore a frock of ivory satin with a circular basque at the waist, -the long skirt being widely flared, from the knees. A train of silver from the waist was edged with a scalloped border of satin and trimmed with pearls. Her veil of Brussels lace was caught with a circlet of orange blosBom. buds, and she carried, a sheaf of Madonna lilies. The four bridesmaids, Misses Eva Swinnerton (chief), Jean Scott, Edna Jelinek, and Lorna Ferris, wore frocks of golden, shot taffeta finished with butterfly bows, at the waist, the skirts being long and fuily flared. Small golden caps with yellow dahlias -were worn, and they carried sheaves of golden' flowers. (A small flower girl, Joy. Cuff, Wore a long frilled frock of shot taffeta, and carried a Victorian posy. Mr. Ivor Thomas {Wellington) was best man, and Messrs. J. Goddard (Te_ Aroha), Victor Caulton, and H. Martin groomsmen. Two hundred guests were entertained at a reception at the. "Blue. Boom." Mrs Swinnerton- wore a black lace and georgette ensemble and a black Bangkok hat. She-; carried a. bouquet of nasturtium tinted flowers. Mrs. Scott wore black silk marocain and beige lace, a black Baku straw hat, and carried a pink and blue bouquet. The bride travelled in an ensemble of chocolate brown flecked with yellow, and a bowler hat with ostrich feather mount
