Miss Agnes Duncan, who has spent the past three months in Wellington with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lan Duncan, Hobson street, returned to Sydney to-day by the Makura.
Miss Mary Maclean, who. has been the guest of Mrs. W. S. Wheeler, Easdale street, has returned to Palmerston North.
Mr. and Mrs. F.- F. Macßryde returned to Sydney to-day by the Makura after some weeks spent in New Zealand. Miss Sheila Macßryde will remain a short time in Wellington, and is the guest of Miss Penelope Blundell, Heretaunga.
Miss Betty Gutlirie, Christehurch, who has been the guest of Mrs. G. Eobison, Talavera terrace, returned home last evening.
Mrs. J. Hanan has returned to Dunedin after a brief visit to Wellington on matters connected with Free Kindergartens.
Mrs. Hai-man ."Warren, Christehurch, is a visitor to Wellington.
Mrs. Knight-Carpenter, Mrs. Sefton Adams, and her two children left Wellington to-day by the Makura for Sydney, en route to England. Many farewell parties have been given for them recently by their friends at Silverstream and Heretaunga.
Mr. and Mrs". T. H. Watson, Feilding, who have been visiting Dr. and Mrs. Burns Watson, Invercargill, will spend a few days in Christehurch before returning North.

. Mrs. James Macassey, the; first white girl born, in Dunedin, celebrated her eighty-fifth birthday last week, and was the recipient of many congratulations on. the occasion and on the fact that, despite her years, she is in the enjoyment of excellent health.
