Fixed deposit rates allowed by' Australian banks have been reduced'as from'today by Vi per cent, on three months, deposits, the rate for which was 3 per cent., by Vi. per cent. on six months' deposits, as against 3% per cent., the former rate, and by % per cent, on 12 months' deposits, ihe rate for which was 3% per cent. The , two-year rate was^t per cent, and apparently- is unchanged.
