LABOUR CARNIVAL.

A carnival and sale of work organised by the Labour Party will be held in the lrades Hall, Vivian street, on Friday and Saturday nest, 19th and 20th February. The opening ceremony will take place at 2.30 p.m. on Friday, Mr. P. Fraser, M.P., officiating. Plain and fancy stalls have been organised, and there will be produce, sweets, and cake and book stalls. There will be a variety of games, side-shows, and guessing competitions. On Saturday afternoon there will be a children's fancy dreite party, at which the judges will "be Miss O'Connor and Mr. Priestly. On Friday the carnival will be run from 2.30 p.m. to 10.30 p.m., and on Saturday from 10.30 a.m. to 5 p.m. On Friday afternoon and on Saturday forenoon there will be no charge for admission. On Friday evening the charge for admission will be sixpence, and a similar charge will be made for the children's fancy dress party for both children and adults.
